When are tiers recalculated?

in Receiving & Sending MoneyHelp Article

VaultLeap tiers are recalculated automatically and continuously based on your points and subscription status. There is no fixed review cycle and no manual review required.

How Tier Recalculation Works - Points-Based Tiers
  • Points are tracked on a rolling 30-day window

  • Every time you earn or lose points, your tier is re-evaluated

  • Points expire automatically after 30 days

  • As older points expire, your tier may upgrade or downgrade automatically

  • Tier changes apply immediately once thresholds are crossed.

Subscription-Based Pro Tier
  • Your tier remains Pro for as long as the subscription is active

  • Tier is not affected by point fluctuations during the subscription period

  • If the subscription is canceled or payment fails, your tier is re-evaluated based on your current points

What Counts Toward Tier Calculation?
  • Included: Posted VaultLeap card purchases, Eligible referral points (if applicable)

  • Excluded: Pending card transactions, Refunded or reversed transactions, Chargebacks, Virtual account transfers (ACH, SEPA, wire), On-chain transfers

Zero Tier Monthly Limit
  • 0% fees on up to $40,000 per calendar month

  • 0.55% applies above the limit

  • Monthly limits reset at the start of each calendar month

  • This limit does not affect tier recalculation and applies independently of points.

Summary: Tiers update automatically and continuously. Points expire on a rolling 30-day basis. Subscription tiers override points while active. Zero tier includes a monthly fee-free cap. Your current tier is always visible in the app.
